Sell global, think local!

Business etiquette is about building relationships with other people. Etiquette is not about rules & regulations but is about providing basic social comfort and creating an environment where others feel comfortable and secure, this is possible through better communication.

Business etiquette differs from region to region and from country to country. This creates a complex situation for people as it is hard to balance the focus on both international business etiquette and other business activities at the same time. Therefore, a wise step is to focus on some key pillars of business etiquette.

This seminar will give you a taste of cultural and behaviour differences around the world to avoid offending  anyone in the international arena, remember what is acceptable at home might be insulting somewhere else!

Come to this seminar to learn more about international behaviour and talk about your cautionary tails

We are delighted to announce that Simon Rothon from The Department for International Trade will be hosting the seminar.

Simon’s last business role before joining the Department for International Trade was as Senior Vice President Global Marketing Services at Unilever. He worked at Unilever for 34 years in International Marketing and General Management in the USA, Latin America and Europe. He has degrees in European Languages, Literature and Culture from the universities of Oxford, Cambridge and London.

Simon will talk today about how an understanding of cultural issues and etiquette can make a major contribution towards securing overseas business.

This event is for BESA members, BESA Launchpads and EDUCATE Cohorts only.Â
