LearnED Roadshow EdTech training days offer senior leaders the chance to learn from peers in your region as they share their best practice guidance and tips on using educational technology to support wellbeing, make positive impacts for both learners and teachers, and drive school-wide efficiencies.

In addition to keynotes from specialists in wellbeing and EdTech, these popular education technology training days for school leaders and EdTech Leads will include an interactive teacher-led panel discussion and individual school case studies focused on digital strategies and productive use of EdTech across Secondary, Primary and SEND settings.

Keynote 1: How to Develop a Resilient Approach for Whole School Wellbeing in a Digital World, Kelly Hannaghan
Kelly’s keynote will explore way to develop a healthy resilient culture in education where staff and students flourish. Find the balance with tools to help manage wellbeing in the digital world and explore what works to create a thriving school community where every person matters.

Panel discussion: EdTech Evolution Part 2 - How teachers use EdTech to support curriculum delivery and drive confidence, creativity, collaboration and attainment
Our speakers will discuss how they, as practising classroom teachers or school leaders, use technology to foster creativity, collaborative working and build student confidence, particularly in relation to a return to in-person learning and, for many, exams post-pandemic. They will consider the trends and challenges around the use of EdTech to drive positive outcomes and address the attainment gap.

Digital strategy showcases
Across three individual presentations, our teachers take turns to speak about the tools and methodologies they apply across their pedagogical practices as they continue to iterate their respective digital strategies.

EdTech Spotlight, Al Kingsley
In this session, EdTech guru Al Kingsley shines a spotlight on some of the most innovative and exciting learning tools making a big impact for teachers and schools.

Speakers

Kelly HannaghanKelly Hannaghan, Mental Health and Wellbeing Consultant, Mind Work Matters Ltd
Kelly is the Mental Health and Wellbeing Consultant and the Director of her business Mind Work Matters Ltd. Kelly puts wellbeing and safeguarding at the heart of education.  She is an award-winning motivational speaker and school improvement advisor, published author and founder of ‘Family Matters’ empowerment programme. Kelly has worked systemically throughout her experiences in working as a Senior Mental Health Lead and Designated Safeguarding Lead with some of the most challenging  communities, by supporting families and pastoral staff, with preventative and early help measures in education. Kelly develops the strategies to help people thrive from adversities. She is currently leading on the DFE Wellbeing for Education Return project and leads on school development processes creating outstanding outcomes and awards  for many organisations. Recognised by the DfE, NCB, The Anna Freud Centre and The Education Support Partnership as a lead influencer of mental health and wellbeing in  education.

 

Al KingsleyAl Kingsley, Author of My Secret EdTech Diary, Presenter of the Check it Out Show podcast, MAT Chair
Al Kingsley has over 30 years’ experience in the technology sector predominantly with his work on IT Asset Management, educational and Instructional technology and digital safeguarding.  Al has been a school governor for the last 15 years and is currently Chair of Hampton Academies Trust in Peterborough.  Al writes for a range of international titles on all aspects of education, with a particular focus on Digital Strategy, the use of EdTech, Blended Learning, Safeguarding and broader strategic planning.  He is the author of My Secret EdTech Diary and presenter of the Check it Out Show podcast,
