How you manage a crisis, both internally and externally, will determine its impact on your reputation; badly handled crises can ruin an organisation.

Effective crisis management is an essential part of protecting reputation for education suppliers. Working with schools and, by association, hundreds and more often thousands of young people brings unique challenges. It doesn’t take much for an organisation to be scrutinised by the media, influential stakeholders, customers and consumers and there is no second chance to get it right.

Whether you are a business or a school, successful crisis management involves a rapid, thoughtful response to mitigate negative press. This seminar will provide insight on how to react to difficult situations with practical insight and guidance.

This event is hosted by Ollie Lane, Director at PLMR

Ollie is a Director with PLMR and leads its Education Practice. He specialises in PR, reputation management, and crisis communications, as well as strategy and public affairs. Formerly chief press officer at the Department for Education and part of the No 10 Downing Street press team under David Cameron, Ollie led on all schools issues, winning positive coverage across the media for the Government’s education reforms and leading on rebuttal. Ollie started his career as a journalist, working as a news editor and reporter for a number of award-winning titles.
