Delivered by the Education Media Centre (EMC), this half-day copywriting seminar will answer all your questions about writing in an education context and how best to capture a variety of audiences through a number of channels.

The event will cover:

  • Strategic thinking – why am I doing this and for whom?
  • Why would anyone read this now?
  • How to write in a range of formats – from press releases to flyers
  • How to get my message across through different channels
  • Going back to basics: using English in a simple, direct way
  • How to organise my material
  • How to deploy evidence
  • What’s my tone of voice and why is it important?
  • Tips and tricks from the experts on how to ensure my copy gets results

The session will include a practical exercise and participants will take home a checklist on how to become an original, arresting and persuasive copywriter. Essential for anyone who wants their words to get noticed!

This event can be attended as part of a two-day masterclass on ‘Using evidence in writing for education’. See the other event, Deploying the ‘killer fact’, here

This seminar costs £145 for BESA members (£195 for non-members). A discounted price of £250 for BESA members and £350 for non-BESA members is available for those who want to attend both training days. Book here.

The facilitators are one of the UK's most respected education journalists and a highly-experienced corporate copywriter:
