Technical Support Assistant – Science

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Support Assistant here at Findel Education where you will provide support and exceptional service to the customers of our science brands, Philip Harris and Unilab, based at our Head Office in Hyde.

Some of the responsibilities for this great opportunity are:

  • Provide front-line technical support to our science customers, ensuring queries are resolved to their satisfaction.
  • Write “notes for use” for new and existing science products, as well as creating dynamic digital content for technical areas of the website.
  • Create and check catalogue copy for technical accuracy.
  • Attend photography sessions to ensure accurate and relevant images of products are captured.
  • Support quality control by ensuring new and modified products fulfil requirements and adhere to the relevant standards.
  • Support Marketing events, Sales Reps and the Commercial Team, advising on science products and services.
  • Maintain and develop a thorough understanding of key product maintenance and service requirements, to enable this service to be offered to customers
  • Work with external agencies to support the image and profile of our science brands and well as understanding the science curriculum.

Our ideal person:

  • Previous experience as a school science technician or a degree in any science discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent customer service skills, able to solve problems and think creatively.
  • Confidence, drive and energy to build successful working relationships both internally and externally.
  • “Can-do” attitude and flexible, proactive approach.
  • Excellent IT skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

We are happy to consider part-time or term-time working arrangements.
