Emma Harris is Head of Partnerships Development the charity, Governors for Schools. She is also an experienced school governor, with a passion for making links between education and employers.

The session will explore:

  • The role of governors and trustees and the skills needed by schools
  • The opportunities and benefits governance brings for education businesses including demonstrating your social impact
  • How you can work with Governors for Schools to deliver a school governor programme

This webinar will help you consider the benefits that running a school governor programme for your employees provides, including skills development and social impact. You’ll learn about the level of commitment needed in the role and what you might want to put in place to best support your employees.

 

Guest Speaker - Emma Harris, Head of Partnerships Development, Governors for Schools

Emma has been a school governor for over five years across two different settings. With a background in volunteer recruitment, she now leads on engaging new partners to work with Governors for Schools to support the education sector.

She has a passion for helping employers to deliver social value and highlighting the mutually beneficial that skilled volunteering brings.
