On 17 July 2013 the Government published and consulted upon proposals to reform primary school assessment and accountability under the new national curriculum. On 27 March 2014 David Laws, Schools Minister, made a written statement to Parliament accompanying the Government’s response to the consultation. This document summarises some of the main aspects of the consultation.
