Collaboration and partnerships the only way to ensure progression in the education sector.

For many suppliers operating within the education sector, collaboration and partnerships provide a platform on which to help further the individual organisations agenda, as well as better meet the needs of schools and academies increasingly restricted by dwindling budgets and pressure on time allocated to training.

Focus Education, a leading organisation dedicated to inspiring outstanding achievements in primary schools and early years settings, has adapted it’s ways of working in recent years in order to adopt this new ethos – collaborating with NAHT Edge, which helps to train teachers to become better leaders, 2Eskimos, is a software development company that helps teachers to save time becoming more effective, and Otrack, the online pupil tracking software incorporating Focus Educations’ frameworks into their systems.

Built on a belief in the entitlement to education, as well as the importance to work together in order to move the education sector forward in order to reflect and respond to the current challenges of the times, the Focus team helps to deliver expert advice and educational support in early years settings, primary schools and academies via its partnerships.

The family-run company’s collaboration with NAHT Edge will result in a series of jointly branded CPD courses aimed at middle leaders in schools, for example, with the courses offering NAHT Edge members access to Focus Education’s high quality resources and support as well practical solutions tailored to the particular challenges middle leaders face. Alongside this, NAHT Edge members can secure discounts on all products and courses, too.

Throughout these courses middle leaders are able to progress their leadership styles, and Focus’ advice, support and training is crucial to the development of future school leaders.

In its partnership with the software development team at 2Eskimos, the company has created a brand new reading assessment app that allows teachers to record children reading out loud and to highlight any mistakes within the app; the app then calculates the child’s reading age.

For more than 15 years, 2Eskimos has been creating products to help teachers save time and become more effective. Its ‘2Build a Profile’ app, which tracks pupils’ progress from Reception through to the end of Primary, has won several awards with BETT and ERA.

Furthermore, Focus Education has recently entered into a partnership with 10 Salford primary schools – delivering a bespoke training programme to primary teachers and teaching assistants across the group – helping to reach a series of pre-identified goals, as well as identify opportunities for shared learning with regards to best practice. More so than ever, Focus Education are receiving enquiries and orders from families and clusters of schools to buy in bulk, thereby securing further discount.

As a family-run organisation providing advice and educational support to primary schools and academies, Focus Education is committed to enabling schools and academies to be the best that they can be. It is proud of its work and values; maintaining a strong public sector heart whilst working with over 3,500 in England.

In 2016 the firm launched its unique loyalty scheme which provides customers with access to tailor made offers, discounts on products & services, priority access to courses & events, and exclusive previews of publications.
