Hours: Fulltime at 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Location: Hybrid working consisting of remote working, with flexibility to attend conferences and events as required and up to 2 days per week in our Head Office based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to broaden and build on their experience in conferences and events to join a friendly team. The role would suit anyone who has worked as part of an in-house events or conference team, or someone with events sales experience.

In this role you will lead a variety of conferences and events from concept to completion. You will have responsibility of all aspects of these events, from co-ordinating logistics, supplier and venue management, speaker liaison and delegate invitations for both on-site and virtual delivery. In addition to managing your own portfolio of conferences and events, there will be an opportunity to support the growth of the wider events programme.

You will also lead on the sponsorship programme, with income targets that support the ongoing financial sustainability of the wider events programme. The post holder will build relationships with existing suppliers whilst developing new relationships and markets.

This role will suit an individual with 2-3 years of conference and events experience and/or exhibition sales. You will have meticulous organisational and planning skills to ensure you are able to manage and coordinate multiple stakeholders, across multiple events. You will need to be extremely proactive, adaptable, professional, and personable. Most of all, you will bring energy and passion to the role and be a team player to deliver outstanding conferences.

Our ‘working from anywhere’ approach provides colleagues the opportunity to work flexibly in line with their role requirements. This consists of remote working, flexibility to attend events, and up to 2 days per week in our Head Office in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The ability to reach different locations by car will be essential for this role, and so a full driving licence and appropriate car insurance will be required. As there is a permanent home working element to this role, you will need to ensure you are equipped for home working.
