HFL Education (formerly Herts for Learning) is the largest schools’ company in the UK. It provides an award-winning range of education and business services, which support schools and educational settings in delivering improved outcomes for children.

Working with over 99% of Hertfordshire schools and a further 2,500 schools and settings around the country, they provide training, support and challenge to staff and governors at all levels. HFL operates as a not-for-profit social enterprise and is majority owned by Hertfordshire schools. HFL colleagues come from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds and have different skillsets, but all share the belief that every young person should be able to realise their potential through access to a great education, regardless of where they live or their personal circumstances.

This is an extraordinarily exciting time to be joining HFL. Having launched afresh with a new brand, and a new and passionate CEO recently appointed, the HFL Board is now seeking a Director of Education Services to help the organisation deliver on its ambitious growth plans.

Entrepreneurial, passionate about education and commercial in approach, candidates will be confident ambassadors; adept at building credibility externally and internally with key stakeholders to strengthen the organisation’s profile, brand and reputation. They will take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the performance of the Education Services team, providing visible leadership, driving transformational change, predicting future trends and, all the while, ensuring exceptional delivery of high quality, value for money services for our trusted clients.
