B Squared will be showcasing its portfolio of assessment and evidence capture software at The Academies Show at the NEC in Birmingham on 22 November 2017. With over 20 years’ experience within the assessment sector, B Squared’s software is already used by over 3,000 schools and academies across the UK and internationally. Delegates can come and meet our experts on stand G24 and sign up for a FREE 3-month trial of Evisense to see how teachers can easily capture photo/video evidence of learning and share it with parents securely.

“We look forward to showing delegates at The Academies Show how we can help academies record and track students’ progress, as well as how we are continually improving and expanding our product portfolio to meet the ever-changing needs of the education sector,” stated Dale Pickles, Managing Director of B Squared. “We believe our latest addition, Evisense can transform the way academies record and share evidence, and keep parents informed of their children’s progress.”

Connecting Steps – detect even the smallest of improvements

B Squared’s Connecting Steps V4 hosted assessment software enables schools to detect even the smallest of improvements. It can be used to track progress across: EYFS, SEND, Primary and Secondary curriculums. The Company’s education team, all of whom are experienced teaching staff, have recently developed an assessment framework for children who have PMLD, SLD, or CLDD designed to enable teachers to identify and record the ongoing achievements of pupils who are not yet engaged in subject-specific learning.

Ease of access and security are key features within the software. Connecting Steps can be accessed via a web browser and an iPad app, meaning results can be recorded anywhere, anytime. The data is hosted on B Squared’s secure cloud. B Squared is already trusted with data for over 87,000 students and on average 32,000 assessment points are added into Connecting Steps every day.

Autism Progress – assess the impact of an individual’s Autism

Already in use by over 400 settings in the UK, Autism Progress is an observational assessment framework designed to help members of staff to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It has been developed by B Squared, in collaboration with experts from three leading charities  – Autism Wessex, Scottish Autism and the North East Autism Society. Autism Progress aims to give the most detailed current picture of an individual’s capabilities. People can be profiled from birth to early adulthood. While each person with autism is unique, the difficulties faced can be divided into four key developmental areas, all of which are included in Autism Progress: Communication; Social Interaction; Flexibility of Thought; and Emotional Regulation.
