We provide practical advice, business leads, notification of tenders, market reports, a monthly newsletter, governmental links and international exhibitions, seminars and trade missions.

BESA's international objectives:

  • Work with the Department for International Trade to secure Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP) funding to events within markets of interest
  • Increase the number of UK education suppliers exporting 
  • Introduce current companies exporting into new markets 
  • Provide practical advice and make valuable connections for UK education suppliers
  • Secure ample opportunities for UK companies to meet with buyers, investors and potential distributors during international shows. 


BESA have a dedicated events team that are on hand to offer support to UK companies before, during and after international events.

Business Leads
After every overseas mission or exhibition, sales leads are available to BESA members. These take the form of business cards obtained from enquirers.

Exhibitions, Missions & Seminars
BESA develops and steers international events in the sector and works with UKTI to take UK suppliers to overseas markets. Grants are usually available.

Export Group Monthly Newsletter
BESA members can sign up to receive a special electronic newsletter detailing events and opportunities directly relevant to export.

Export Pointers – tenders+
BESA members can sign up to receive a weekly electronic list of international tenders.

Governmental Links
BESA has close links with Government departments to promote the sector and to secure funding and opportunities that will increase members’ business overseas.

BESA members sign up to our Code of Practice and use the BESA logo to ensure that customers worldwide know they value safety, reliability and value for money.

BETT and The Education Show are our key events for ICT and general resources. BESA members receive a discount at both shows and have significant international attendances.
