Caroline Wright, director of BESA adds: “Every year the Bett Awards recognise excellence in the design of products and services which are positively influencing the education sector.  With technology in education growing ever more innovative, it is important that these prestigious awards evolve inline with the industry. This year we have added an ‘Innovation in ICT’ category to recognise those companies really driving the technology agenda in schools and Best Whole Course Curriculum Content.”

The awards are judged by over 60 educational professionals to put each entry through a meticulous judging process. Judges initially review each entry based on its fit with the awards’ criteria such as design, cost-effectiveness, effective learning and teaching styles.  The finalists will now be asked to send in their products so judges may give a technical evaluation, measure the robustness and resilience of each product, as well as its accessibility for those with specific needs.

Winners will be announced at the Bett Awards ceremony on the first evening of the Bett Show, Wednesday 21 January 2015 at the The Brewery, London EC1Y.
