Collaboroo, an innovative online community for teaching professionals launches

Collaboroo, an innovative online community for teaching professionals has recently launched.

Created by the Consortium, with the help of a panel of teaching professionals, Collaboroo provides an opportunity for teachers to connect, contribute and create online to teach happy.  In its first month it has already attracted more than 2000 registered users and its bank of over 500 curriculum and EYFS activity ideas is quickly growing.

Simon Hollingsworth, Director of Marketing and Ecommerce at The Consortium explains the reasons for creating a new community for teachers

“Using digital connectivity to allow teachers to connect and collaborate feels like a great way for us to help improve educational outcomes for children. We hope that Collaboroo will  make  it easy and enjoyable for teachers to share ideas and offer many opportunities for them to work together”

Members of Collaboroo are encouraged to adopt a creative, constructive and collaborative approach to help meet some of the challenges that teachers face especially in engaging children in a classroom or early years setting.

Collaboroo combines visual inspiration, useful resources and the opportunity for teaching professionals to easily contribute, connect, feedback and recognise contributions, all in one place. It is completely free to join and use. Its key features include:

  • A range of ways to contribute including sharing ideas, asking or answering questions, adding a smile, commenting and entering competitions.
  • Quick and easy to find most popular content using a trending tab and easy navigation
  • Tailored email digests informing members of latest content in chosen areas
