The LSE Growth Lab and the LSE Trade Hub Unit are leading a project commissioned by the UK–Ukraine TechBridge Initiative to identify practical trade opportunities for UK technology industries in collaboration with Ukraine.
Focusing on agritech, edtech, and healthtech, the project aims to:
- Address knowledge gaps within the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and the wider UK tech sector;
- Identify relevant UK expertise and business offerings to support the development of Ukraine’s tech ecosystem; and
- Assess commercial opportunities for UK firms by analysing the overlap between UK strengths and Ukrainian needs.
As part of this research, the team is conducting 45–60 minute interviews with companies and experts in both countries to better understand sector-specific challenges and opportunities, and to inform strategies for collaboration and technology transfer.
Participation also offers companies the opportunity to connect with the UK Government network and explore engagement with the Ukrainian market through TechBridge—a strategic partnership between the UK Government, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Companies interested in contributing to the research are invited to contact Camila Arroyo at c.p.arroyo-from@lse.ac.uk to arrange a conversation with the research team.
