Promethean Win Market Development Initiative of the Year

Promethean’s Success is Recognised at the AV News Awards

Global education technology company Promethean, continues its award success in 2018, winning Market Development Initiative of the Year at the AV News Awards. The win was announced at the AV News Award ceremony at ISE 2018 on 6th February in Amsterdam.

The AV News Awards recognise the contributions made by individuals and teams to the development of the AV business, with special awards to technologists, sales, marketing and support professionals, in addition to those for the companies and organisations which make up the channel.

The award is testament to a series of market development initiatives undertaken by Promethean in 2017. Promethean began the year with a dynamic programme of activity at Bett and used this as a springboard for its market success. ‘The Promethean Grant 2017’ was announced at the show, a nationwide creative competition offering schools the chance to win one of 30 free ActivPanels – over 300 applications were received in just three months. Another initiative pioneered by Promethean is ‘The State of Technology in Education Report 2017/18’. The report surveyed over 1,600 educators and has been produced as an insight into the education sector, identifying challenges in edtech and seeking to offer educators practical solutions. Over the past 12 months channel partners have also benefitted from increased choice and flexibility since Promethean moved to a dual-distribution route to market.

Ian Curtis, Promethean Head of EMEA and ANZ Markets, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement to be awarded ‘Market Development Initiative of the Year’ at this year’s AV News Awards. The Promethean team have demonstrated clever thinking and innovation through fantastic initiatives such as our activity at Bett, the Promethean Grant, State of Technology in Education Report and lots of other great market developments. I’m so proud of what the team have achieved.”
