Tes Schools Awards 2026 now open for entries!

New ‘Teacher Development Initiative of the Year’ and ‘Pupil Enrichment School of the Year’ categories launched for 2026 awards

London, UK – Tes is delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the Tes Schools Awards 2026. Often referred to as the ‘Oscars of education’, the awards remain one of the sector’s most respected opportunities to shine a spotlight on the people and initiatives making a genuine difference in education.

Nominations are open until 6 March, with the shortlist revealed on 24 April. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on 19 June at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, where finalists from across the UK will come together for a glittering gala of celebration and recognition.

Teacher Development Initiative of the Year

This award highlights impactful professional development initiatives that strengthen staff practice and pupil outcomes.

Excellence in Pupil Enrichment

This new category celebrates schools and trusts delivering a comprehensive, varied, and high-quality pupil enrichment programme.

Entries are completely free, and all UK schools and teachers are encouraged to put themselves forward – or to nominate colleagues whose work deserves to be celebrated. The Tes Schools Awards 2026 provide a powerful platform to showcase achievements and share stories of successes across the education community.
