BESA member Twin has been named Winner in the Education & EdTech category at the UK Government’s “Made in the UK, Sold to the World” Awards.

The awards, organised by the Department for Business and Trade, celebrate UK-based businesses that are driving international growth through innovation, impact, and exports. Twin’s recognition highlights the growing global influence of British education companies and the role of purpose-driven technology in shaping the future of learning.

Championing Innovation in Education

Twin’s award-winning work blends AI literacy, environmental education, and hands-on STEM learning into powerful tools for schools. Today, these tools are used by students in over 50 countries – empowering the next generation to think critically, act ethically, and engage with the world’s most pressing challenges.

The company’s approach reflects a broader global shift in education: a demand for learning solutions that not only prepare young people for the future but also align with meaningful values. Twin’s growth is a testament to the appetite for technology that supports both educational and ethical development.

Recognition from the Department for Business and Trade

Speaking at the awards, Gareth Thomas MP, Minister for Services, Small Businesses and Exports, commented:

“The innovation and entrepreneurship shown by the businesses entering the Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards demonstrate the best of British business.”

This award reinforces the strategic role of EdTech exports in driving economic opportunity. Exporting supports a fifth of UK employment, and UK goods exporters consistently deliver higher wages and productivity.
