DDMIX for Schools (Diverse Dance MIX) is a not for profit dance fitness program created by Dame Darcey Bussell DBE.
It is a fun and educational way of bringing dance to every child regardless of age, background or ability. With the cultural diversity of the program along with the games, content and creative elements, students have the opportunity to learn whilst having fun exercising.
There are several products available to suit every school budget and needs. From inset training to CPD days, workshops to tasters as well as online access to all resources. Bespoke packages are also available.
The program has been written in line with the UK National Curriculum guidelines and full Schemes of Work for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 are available. The lesson plans include all the resources you need such as music, instructional videos, games, and creativity elements. DDMIX for Schools aims to have every child moving within 60 seconds of every DDMIX class. The program has been designed so that it is easy to learn, easy to teach and also fun for the teachers within the schools to deliver themselves.
Darcey and the team at Diverse Dance Mix (DDMIX) are absolutely passionate about getting dance fitness into schools to encourage all children to enjoy being more active.
“I believe every child should have the opportunity to move by dancing, and I’m so excited to share my passion with them.”
