The DfE has signed an MoU with the Spanish Ministry of Education to pilot the Visiting Teacher Programme (England) (VTP). The DfE will work with Spain and English schools to recruit, select, place and train these teachers so that they are ready to commence employment in English schools to teach Spanish as a foreign language from September 2017 for an initial one-year contractual period.
