The Great British Classroom took place at the Qatar Business Investment Summit on 28 March 2017, at the ICC in Birmingham. The GBC was part of the Best of British products showcase for Qatari Investors and government officials. Resources were kindly provided by BESA members including:

Lindells Primary School, based in Walsall, took part in the GBC with classes on topics such as maths, coding and science. Secretary of State, Liam Fox visited the GBC and spoke to members who were present at the classroom. Also attending were the Qatari Prime Minister HE Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, HE Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani, CEO of QIA and Dr. Khalid Mohammed Youssef Issa al-Hurr, Director of Higher Education Institute, State of Qatar, among many other senior education and investment officials.
