On behalf of Ward Hadaway, we are delighted to invite you to this free half-day workshop in Leeds for an event that will tackle some of the major challenges involved in doing business in the education sector.

They will provide expert led sessions designed to help your business successfully increase its share of the education market.

By attending this event you will have the opportunity to learn more about how to respond most effectively to issues such as a changing customer base, centralisation of procurement, budget cuts and the increasing significance of digital products and services that, in turn, bring information law and data protection complications. Much is happening that make it harder than ever for businesses to achieve their sales targets, whilst fully understanding and managing risk.

Their free workshop will provide you with an engaging and practical guide to navigating the sector successfully. The programme will include four main strands:

Managing your customers and their data

  • It's all about MATs! - the direction of travel for school management and improvement and what you need to know to maximise success in customer relations.
  • School rebrokering - what impact does this have on my customer relationship and how should I respond?

The impact of GDPR in the sector

  • Part 1: Understanding how GDPR impacts upon doing business in the sector - a focused session on the school-supplier relationship.
  • Part 2: What do you need to do to ensure compliant data transfers between you and your customers? Understanding the responsibilities of school and service provider and how to assure you business works compliantly within GDPR.

Procurement in the education sector - the drive for greater efficiency and cost saving

  • UK public procurement rules - the key rules you ought to be aware of and how to use them to advantage.
  • The DfE procurement strategy for Schools and Academies - how might this affect your business and the opportunities you look for in the sector.

This session will provide an opportunity to pose questions to the panel and share experiences, opinions and insights with your peers. This event is aimed at in-house counsel, commercial, marketing and sales directors and managers and all those involved in developing business in the education sector.
