The British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) invites you to join a discussion about the EdTech All Party Parliament Group’s (APPG) work, and its upcoming inaugural report, Lessons from Lockdown: what we learned about Educational Technology in 2020.

The event, taking place during BettFest Week, at 1.15pm on Friday 22 January, will be hosted by Damian Hinds MP, Chair of the EdTech APPG and Caroline Wright, Director General, BESA.

Damian Hinds

The Conservative MP for East Hampshire since 2010, Damian Hinds was also Secretary of State for Education from January 2018 to July 2019. He has served as Minister of State for Employment and Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury as well. Damian was a founding member of the EdTech APPG, and has held the position of Chair since the Group was established in September 2020.

Caroline Wright

As well as her role leading BESA, Caroline Wright is also Director of EdTech Exchange, Europe’s largest EdTech start-up network. Prior to joining BESA Caroline’s career spanned the public and private sector in a range of leadership and communications roles. From national and local newspapers to working as Director of Communications across a range of Departments in Government including the Department for Education, Ofsted, The Cabinet Office, and the Department of Trade and Industry.

Discussion will focus on the APPG’s aims, and will provide a further opportunity for contributions that could help shape the final report.

We look forward to seeing you there!
