Explore the growing international trade opportunities in Egypt and Morocco in January 2023
BESA is working with the Department for International Trade to offer UK education companies the opportunity to take part in this trade mission from 22 - 26 January 2023.
Provisional programme - the details are still being finalised, however this is the proposed structure of the event:
Egypt Sunday 22 January – Monday 23 January
- Meet with ministers of Education and representatives from DIT
- Engage in roundtable discussions and network with school leaders and local educators
- Hear presentations regarding the opportunities that exist in the region
- We will facilitate 1-2-1 business meetings with school leaders and local educators. Each UK company will have a table and space for a pop-up banner, and we will facilitate meetings where you can present your products and services to the delegates.
Travel to Morocco on Tuesday 24 January
Morocco Wednesday 25 – Thursday 26 January
- Evening reception at the British Consulate
- Meet with ministers of Education and representatives from DIT
- Engage in roundtable discussions and network with school leaders and local educators
- Hear presentations regarding the opportunities that exist in the region
- We are seeking to arrange visits with local schools, this is yet to be confirmed
- There will be opportunities to meet with school leaders 1-2-1 over the course of the event
Why take part in a trade mission?
- Cost effective way to find out more about two new markets that are actively seeking to partner with UK suppliers
- Guarantee of meeting with representatives from DIT in the region – help build relationships that will enable you to do business in the North Africa
- Opportunity to speak to school business leaders and educators directly and to generate sales leads for longer term business
If you wish to take part:
You arrange your travel and accommodation independently. BESA will provide recommendations for hotels and can suggest flights, but you are free to select your own. As a guide, we have identified flights for around £300 for each leg of the journey.
There will be a small charge of £595 per member to take part in the mission, this will cover all the activities listed in the programme and any refreshments provided during the day. Evening meals will not be provided.
Next steps:
We have space for up to 12 British Companies to attend the mission. Each company can send a maximum of 2 delegates.
