The session will be hosted by Catherine Tallis, Director of Business Services and Kate Aspinwall, Head of Company HR, at Herts for Learning.

After a long lockdown, where we have been isolated from family, friends and colleagues, many of us are venturing back into the office. This has never been a more important time to recognise the toll that Covid-19 has had on the mental health of ourselves, but also our staff, with many employees reportedly feeling greater loneliness and a rise in anxiety.

As we start returning to some sense of normality, seeing colleagues, family and friends again, we expect that mental health and wellbeing improve naturally, but it is essential we continue to protect and support our staff long-term.

As employers it is vital that we create safe and more flexible working environments and strategies in the wake of COVID-19. Catherine and Kate will discuss their experiences leading their teams through lockdown, recognising the changes and adaptations, as well as give advice on how best to continue to support teams in the future, taking into account flexible working and other new working policies.
