Key purpose of job

This newly created post will play a key part in a growing marketing team. Working in a supportive and collaborative environment this exciting role will include the management and coordination of the events calendar, including in-person events and webinars. You will manage bookings, requirements, internal and external comms, promotion and social content. Alongside this you will be supporting our social media presence, scheduling, working on campaigns, content creation and building our community.

 

The role is hybrid, working between home and one of our regional offices and there will be a requirement to attend virtual and in-person events as required.

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Managing the event calendar both in-person and virtually including creating and running webinars.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and external agencies producing event and sales collateral including, print, digital and social content.
  • Managing event stock levels, including logistics, requirements, and orders.
  • Liaising with external suppliers and event organisers ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Creating event briefing documents for the sales and CS teams and manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working closely with the sales team to support event follow up.
  • Attending events in person as and when required.
  • Supporting the day-to-day handling of all social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, adapting content to suit each channel.
  • Oversee, plan, and deliver engaging content daily (original copy, images, videos and news) across different platforms using scheduling and design tools.
  • Supporting the management of social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions. Communicate with followers, responding to queries in a timely manner whilst monitoring all channels for activity.
  • Creating engaging social content (and/or outsource this effectively) across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborating with internal teams encouraging social media content and engagement.
  • Suggesting and implementing campaigns that promote the organisation and brand, including supporting divisional marketing managers.
  • Keeping up to date with current technologies and trends in social media to find new and better ways of working.
  • Analysing competitor activity and undertake audience research.

 

Key attributes and competencies

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Strong copywriting and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities with good time-management skills.
  • Strong project management, multitasking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (copy, image and video).
  • Ability to travel to our offices nationally and attend events in person.

Experience

  • Relevant experience within marketing/events
  • Experience developing marketing plans and campaigns including social media content creation.
  • B2B experience would be beneficial to this role.
  • Experience using a social media scheduling tool (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Oktopost etc.) and Canva would be beneficial to this role, but full training can be given.
  • Experience in organising virtual events, using systems such as Zoom, GoToWebinar, Teams etc. would be beneficial.
