£35,000 - £40,000

This role offers you the chance to take ownership of the associations’ marketing activities, to shape our marketing strategy and deliver our plans. To take on this role you must be equally happy planning and monitoring campaigns as being hands on with their delivery. The association is growing and we see marketing as a core driver of our future success; we are looking for a bright, ambitious marketer to help us deliver on those plans.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Providing marketing support for all BESA activities such as events, training, policy initiatives and member services
  • Managing the marketing budget; reporting on ROI
  • Planning and implementing digital marketing campaigns to all BESA audiences including members, non-members and schools
  • Managing the BESA website and its future development; using analytics to monitor success and inform decision making
  • Delivering monthly reports on KPIs and quarterly reports for our Executive Council
  • Developing content including video and printed materials
  • Using social media for both paid and organic campaigns to drive traffic and increase followers (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook etc) 
  • Identifying new marketing channels to help deliver the BESA strategic plan
  • Writing and editing BESA’s comms, blogs, articles, press releases and printed marketing materials
  • Managing the BESA brand, both internally and overseeing the use of the BESA logo by members

 

To be successful you will

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role
  • Experience of education market preferable
  • Passionate about social media, plus experience of paid-for campaigns
  • Experience in use of CRM systems, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, Google Analytics, WordPress
  • Excellent presentation skills and the confidence to engage with a wide range of companies, often with individuals at a senior level
  • Strong organisational skills, with an ability to juggle multiple tasks under pressure
  • Responsive, agile and able to pivot and reprioritise due to emerging member needs and policy developments
  • Enthusiastic and committed to achieving both individual and organisational goals, demonstrating a clear understanding of BESA and what it is trying to achieve; ability to add value to the overall team effort
  • Knowledge of SEO optimisation a benefit
  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent work experience
