Do you believe that every young person, through access to a great education, should be able to realise their potential, regardless of their ethnicity?

At Herts for Learning we acknowledge that systemic racism is a problem that must be addressed everywhere. We have a duty to face up to the difficult conversations that ultimately result in the lifting of Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) voices. We see this position as central to our commitment to expanding our resources to supporting schools to develop as strong anti-racist organisations. The successful candidate will have recent and relevant school experience and expertise in (as well as a proven track record of) promoting race equality in a school or setting.

This role will suit someone who is interested in a fixed term contract, a secondment or deployed consultant position within the advisory service, initially on a one year fixed term contract.  We are seeking to appoint either one adviser for 0.8 or full time or two advisers each for 0.4 or 0.5. We welcome applications from colleagues in the EY, primary, secondary or special school sectors.

HfL provides trusted, inspirational and collaborative teaching, learning, leadership and business support to schools and education settings in Hertfordshire and beyond. As a not-for-profit company, dedicated to raising standards and improving teaching and learning, we work closely with schools to ensure that our products and services meet their continually changing needs.

The team are working remotely where possible to support their schools and when required, providing onsite support to their schools in line with Government guidelines. Therefore the ability to reach different locations by car will be essential. If you drive then a full driving licence and appropriate car insurance will be required. Also as there is a permanent home working element to this role, you will need to ensure you are equipped for home working.
