We have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Technical Support Assistant working 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) to join the Technical Support Team for the Philip Harris and Unilab brands.

This exciting role is to help shape and develop the Philip Harris brand. Philip Harris is one of our Specialist educational brands in the marketplace and caters for secondary and sixth forms across the UK and globally.

Role

We are looking for both a full time and part time Technical Support Assistant to join our Specialist Business Unit to work specifically for our Science brands – Philip Harris and Unilab. This role will report in to the Technical Support Manager.

Duties will include:

o To provide front-line technical support to external science customers, ensuring queries are resolved to their satisfaction
o To write and improve “Notes for Use” for new and existing science products
o Support marketing events by manning stands at trade shows and talking to delegates on a technical level, and design and deliver talks and workshops
o Check catalogue copy for technical and grammatical accuracy
o Support sales reps by arranging samples for sales visits, training them on new products, and attend crucial sales visits to help win business
o Create and maintain dynamic content for technical areas of the website, such as product microsites
To be considered for the role you should have the following skills/experience:
o Educated to degree level or equivalent in a Science discipline OR experience gained as a Science Technician
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate on a technical level to a variety of audiences
o The ability to prioritise & meet deadlines
o A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
o Hold a full UK driving licence
