BESA SME Spotlight Series: Number 2
The BESA SME Spotlight Series has been designed to support micro and small stage businesses with a series of dedicated webinars. SMEs have the advantage of being local and can position themselves to be more agile in responding to the needs of their clients. Getting to know the potential clients is key to forging good long term supplier relationships. This session aims to help SMEs understand the education sector, the types of schools and unique characteristics, typical purchase to pay cycles and how suppliers work in partnership with schools and trusts to achieve value for money. There will also be a couple of examples of mistakes to avoid.
Guest Speaker - Abi Agidee-Adekunle, MBA, FCCA, FISBL Accountant & Education Business Consultant, Àshę Business Consulting Ltd, Interim CFO The Howard Trust
Abi has over 25 years of experience in accountancy, general management and finance. Abi's skillset also includes HR, and IT, premises, project management and education management. She began her career in banking as a member of the Central Financial Control department where she streamlined and improved processes before moving on to become a money market trader. She became a chartered accountant during this period before relocating and successfully rebuilding her career in different sectors. Abi successfully project-managed the opening of a number of academy trusts, including the London Academy of Excellence, Stratford. Abi has been an SRMA (School resource management adviser) since the pilot in 2018. She also provides Interim CFO support to schools, local authorities & MATs.
